Enable Ethernet Communications with bf3Net

Ethernet support is provided as an option for most micro-line embedded DSP hardware configurations. A fully integrated software and hardware approach provides the means of network-enabling embedded micro-line DSP resources, utilizing the latest 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface technology and eXpressDSP and RFC compliant TCP/IP stack software.

Software support is provided by Windmill Innovations' bf3Net TCP/IP Protocol Stack. Leveraging Texas Instrument's eXpressDSP real-time software technology, and fully compliant with the TMS320 DSP Algorithm Standard, bf3Net reduces the time, cost and risk involved in developing a reliable internet-enabled DSP application.

The micro-line C6412Compact provides an on-board 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface. For other micro-line boards such as the C641xCPU, C6713CPU, and C6713Compact, the SC100BaseTx Ethernet hardware module can be added to to provide a ready to use 10/100Base-T interface capability.

bf3Web Embedded Webserver

The bf3Web Embedded Webserver is Windmill Innovations' solution for the creation of web interfaces for DSP applications. As an advanced plugin for the micro-line version of the bf3Net TCP/IP Protocol Stack, bf3Web provides the industry's fastest way for the development of websites hosted by a DSP system. The bf3Web Embedded Webserver is an HTTP 1.1 compliant HTTP Server. It includes the bf3Web Integration Tool which enables the configuration and integration of the DSP-hosted website through a graphical user interface (GUI).

Optional application protocols for bf3Net provide the ability to quickly extend the capabilities of an ethernet-enabled micro-line system. These protocols have been tested and verified for direct integration and operation with the micro-line version of the bf3Net TCP/IP Protocol Stack. Each application protocol is accompanied by a graphical configuration and integration tool, offering the same ease-of-integration as the bf3Net TCP/IP Protocol Stack itself.
