With micro-line, developers can combine the resources of a high-density FPGA with a powerful TMS320C6000 DSP processor. A broad range of board configurations and optional interfacing capabilities, such as Ethernet and FireWire, allows system designs to be optimized for cost, flexibility, resource density, and overall performance:
C641xCPU
Spartan 3E FPGA + TMS320C641x Integer DSP
C6412Compact
Spartan 3 FPGA + TMS320C6412 Integer DSP + USB + Ethernet + FireWire
C6713CPU
Spartan 3 FPGA + TMS320C6713 Floating Point DSP
C6713Compact
Virtex-II FPGA + TMS320C6713 Floating Point DSP + FireWire
VHDL FPGA Programming Packages
VHDL FPGA programming packages are optionally available for each of the above DSP/FPGA boards, allowing users to add their own VHDL logic to the on-board FPGA.
With these programming packages, VHDL frameworks facilitate the integration of FPGA or external logic with the DSP processor via its EMIF interface as memory mapped peripherals, or for starting new projects where developers are responsible for adding all functionality.
