Embedded DSP Board Offers
Superb Price to Performance Ratio
|

| The
flexible micro-line bus allows OEM developers to easily integrate
their own board designs into the micro-line stackable architecture.
Several off-the-shelf peripheral options such as data acquisition
and 1394 FireWire communications are available as well. Up to seven peripheral boards can accompany each C6712CPU board in a micro-line stack. The additional boards are controlled and accessed by the DSP processor, via its 20-bit address and 32-bit data busses - propagated vertically through the boards, mounted as a single stack, one board on top of the other. |

micro-line
systems can be completely stand-alone, with the C6712CPU utilizing
the DSPs FLASH ROM for booting application code. Integration with computers,
if required, can be achieved at up to 230kbaud via RS-232, up to 400Mbits/sec
using the optional IEEE 1394 FireWire interface, or via JTAG for debugging.
OEM developers have the option of mounting the C6712CPU and interface
boards onto hardware of their own design, or onto optionally available
power supply/carrier boards.
“The C6712CPU was designed with the OEM developer in mind,”
commented Steve Bradshaw, President and Technical Director of Traquair.
“The C6712’s superb price to performance ratio, combined
with the open micro-line bus architecture, will considerably reduce
time to market for many embedded real-time systems, communications,
imaging, and multi-media application designs”.
