DCAM Camera Development EVM-Kit

DCAM Camera Development EVM-kits are the perfect solution for FireWire enabling an existing digital camera or image sensor, and providing it an IIDC-1394 DCAM compliant interface.

The kits includes all necessary hardware and accessories to start development. The multi-chip-module is mounted on a small carrier for easier handling. Standard 0.1'' connectors allow quick and easy creation of prototypes.

A DCAM Camera API is provided for the on-board DSP processor, for handling all IEEE1394 communication and IIDC-1394 protocol handling. It provides user callback functions that are called whenever the camera is accessed and can translate the IIDC-1394 commands into sensor-specific control commands. Camera or sensor image data bypasses the DSP processor and is transmitted without any software overhead, allowing for image data transfer rates of up to 32MByte/s.
