The CRep S8C/FD 8-channel CAN bus repeater supports both Classic CAN and CAN FD networks, transparently regenerating and retransmitting CAN signals independent of the protocol in use. It enables flexible network topologies, including star and tree configurations as well as stub-line connections. Up to three CRep S8C/FD repeaters can be combined to support up to 24 channels while maintaining low propagation delay. Cascade connections are established by mounting units side-by-side and plugging them directly into each other via the adjacent D-Sub 9 connectors; no additional cabling is required. A non-cascadable “CRep S8/FD” build is optionally available for applications requiring only 8 channels.

Specifications
Layout and Connection
A CRep S8C/FD device includes eight CAN segments, wired by terminal blocks with 3 clamps. The power supply of CRep S8C is separately wired by a terminal block with 2 clamps.
| Pin | Name | Description |
| 1 | CAN_H | CAN high bus line |
| 2 | CAN_L | CAN low bus line |
| 3 | GND | CAN Ground |
The following table shows the terminal assignment of the power connector:
| Pin | Name | Function |
| 1 | Power + | Positive supply +24V |
| 2 | Power – | Ground |
Nominal Values
All values, unless otherwise specified, refer to a supply voltage of 24V and an environmental temperature of 20°C.
